Project Design Manager
The Opportunity
They’re now looking for a Design Manager to join the team and take the lead on project engineering and coordinating the design process across a range of live projects. This role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on with technical details and comfortable working closely with delivery and commercial colleagues to keep everything on track.
What You’ll Be Doing
Managing the design process from concept through to completion across multiple live projects
Coordinating architects, engineers, and specialist consultants to ensure design information is accurate, timely, and buildable
Reviewing drawings, resolving design queries, and ensuring compliance with building regs and project specs
Supporting planning and technical submissions, and working closely with commercial and pre-construction teams
Identifying risks, clashes, and value engineering opportunities early on to avoid delays and cost issues later
Attending project meetings and being a key point of contact for all things design
Reporting to senior management on design progress, timelines, and any challenges on the horizonWhat We’re Looking For
Solid experience in a similar designer/ design management role – either for a main contractor or architectural practice background
Experience across relevant sectors such as commercial, education, healthcare or social housing
Good working knowledge of current building regulations, design standards, and coordination best practice
Comfortable working with Revit, AutoCAD and BIM workflows
Confident communicator who can build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
Organised, detail-driven, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities at onceWhat’s on Offer
