The Role
This leadership position offers broad influence without direct site-based responsibilities. The successful candidate will shape strategic direction, embed a culture of excellence, and ensure alignment with the latest Building Safety Regulator (BSR) requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Defining and delivering the strategic vision for Building Control
Leading innovation and service redesign to drive efficiency and performance
Ensuring robust compliance, quality assurance, and risk management
Inspiring and managing a skilled and growing team
Representing the service in high-level partnerships and stakeholder forumsThe Ideal Candidate
The role calls for an experienced, values-driven leader who is a Registered Building Inspector (Class 4) with:
A proven track record in Building Control leadership
Deep understanding of compliance, safety, and regulatory frameworks
Experience delivering operational improvement and cultural change

Salary: £65,000-£75,000 per annum, with additional market supplements negotiable based on experience.
