Section / Senior Engineer – Major Infrastructure & Road Schemes

An established and well-regarded civil engineering contractor is seeking a Section or Senior Engineer to join the team delivering major infrastructure and road construction schemes across Suffolk and the wider East Anglia region.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leading role in the delivery of complex, high-value projects that directly impact regional development and connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Take ownership of engineering activities on large-scale infrastructure and highway projects, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to design specifications.

*

Manage setting-out, quality assurance, and site engineering functions across key sections of works.

*

Coordinate subcontractors and internal teams, ensuring smooth site operations, programme compliance, and health & safety standards.

*

Support project planning and reporting while maintaining accurate site records and technical documentation.

*

Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and site staff.

What We're Looking For:

*

HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering.

*

Proven experience on major infrastructure or road schemes (Section Engineer level or above).

*

Strong technical knowledge and setting-out skills using modern surveying equipment and AutoCAD.

*

Excellent communication, team leadership, and organisational abilities.

*

CSCS card required; SMSTS and First Aid certificates are advantageous.
