Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 + excellent package
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Are you an experienced Senior Planner with a strong track record in complex infrastructure or rail projects? We’re recruiting on behalf of a high-profile organisation delivering a nationally significant programme, and they’re looking for someone to lead schedule integration across a major delivery area.
The Role
As a Senior Planner, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing integrated project schedules, identifying key interfaces and dependencies, and supporting programme-level coordination. You’ll work closely with delivery teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that time, cost, and quality metrics are aligned and effectively reported.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of integrated schedules for major projects.

Coordinate with project managers and controls teams to manage project timelines and risks.
*
Support ‘what-if’ scenario planning and provide solutions to programme conflicts.
*
Ensure consistency and assurance in planning submissions from the supply chain.
*
Develop and implement planning policy, processes, and standards.
*
Support and mentor junior planners and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.
Requirements
*
Proven experience in a senior planning role on large, complex infrastructure projects.
*
Strong knowledge of project controls functions: scheduling, risk, cost, and change management.
*
Expert-level skills in Primavera P6; familiarity with tools such as Prism, CEMAR, etc.
*
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
*
Understanding of NEC contracts and project lifecycle governance procedures.
