📍 Greater Glasgow | 💷 £60,000 – £70,000 | Occasional Travel Required

First People Solutions are proud to be working with a long-established and highly respected contractor in the specialist civil engineering sector. Due to continued growth and a strong forward workload, we are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team based in Greater Glasgow.

Our client operates nationally and delivers technically complex projects across sectors such as infrastructure, energy, marine and heritage. Their work involves specialist structural and remedial solutions, requiring a high level of precision and technical understanding.

The Role:

As Contracts Manager, you will oversee multiple live projects, ensuring delivery is safe, on time, within budget, and in line with client expectations. The role involves both office and site-based responsibilities, with some travel and occasional time working away from home.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and deliver multiple contracts from start to finish

Lead site teams, subcontractors, and liaise with suppliers

Ensure health & safety and quality standards are maintained

Monitor programmes, budgets, and risk

Build and maintain client relationships across various sectors

Ideal Candidate

Proven experience in a Contracts Manager or senior site-based role within civil engineering

Strong background in Civils Engineering or specialist or structural works (e.g strengthening, protection)

Commercially minded with good planning and leadership skills

Comfortable managing multiple projects across different regions

Willingness to travel and work away from home when required

Full UK driving licence
