Contracts Manager
One of Scotland's leading grounds maintenance contractors is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee projects in the central belt.
Based from Glasgow, the ideal candidate will oversee the full life-cycle of contracts within the grounds maintenance division, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role involves managing client relationships, coordinating internal teams, and ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all contracts related to grounds maintenance services from inception to completion.
Negotiate terms and conditions with clients and suppliers to maximise profitability while ensuring service quality.
Monitor contract performance against KPIs, budgets, and timelines.
Coordinate with operations, finance, and field teams to ensure smooth delivery of services.
Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with contractual standards and health & safety regulations.
Develop and implement strategies to improve contract efficiency and client satisfaction.
Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
Lead contract reviews and renewals, identifying opportunities for contract extensions or new business.
Produce reports and updates for senior management on contract status and performance.
Skills & Qualifications:
SSSTS or SMSTS (client would consider CSCS at a minimum).
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role, preferably within grounds maintenance, landscaping, or related industries.
Background knowledge of grounds maintenance operations and industry standards.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
Solid understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control.
Familiarity with health & safety regulations and risk management.
High level of computer literacy.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desirable:
Horticultural experience.
PA1+ PA6 certifications.
Whats on offer:
Salary of 40-45k DOE.
5 year plan with yearly salary increase.
