Civils Project Manager

The Company:

A leading North East-based civil engineering and construction contractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the region. Due to sustained growth and a strong order book, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial civils schemes.

The Role:

As Project Manager, you’ll oversee multiple groundworks and civils packages on commercial developments, ensuring safe, timely and cost-effective delivery from pre-start through to handover. You’ll manage site teams, subcontractors, programme, and client interface.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all site-based project activities across multiple schemes

*

Oversee groundworks, drainage, roads, foundations, and concrete structures

*

Ensure compliance with H&S and quality standards

*

Liaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities

*

Manage budgets, resources, subcontractors, and site teams

*

Produce short-term programmes and progress reports

*

Drive performance and proactively resolve on-site issues

Requirements:

*

Proven background delivering civils / groundworks packages (commercial/industrial)

*

Experience managing full project lifecycle from pre-con to handover

*

SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid essential

*

Temporary Works Coordinator, NVQ L6 or similar desirable

*

Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills

*

Full UK Driving Licence
