About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the full refurbishment of an existing public library located near Baker Street, London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex refurbishment projects, particularly in live or sensitive environments, and will be responsible for the day-to-day site operations, ensuring high standards of health & safety, quality, and programme adherence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all aspects of the site works, managing subcontractors and suppliers.
* Ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
* Coordinate with the project team, client representatives, and stakeholders on-site.
* Maintain a safe and compliant site in accordance with all current legislation and company procedures.
* Conduct regular progress meetings, site inspections, and H&S audits.
* Prepare and manage short-term programmes and site documentation as required.
* Manage logistics, deliveries, and site setup in a constrained urban location.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment or fit-out projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes and technical ability in refurbishment works.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Able to effectively plan, schedule, and problem-solve on a live site.
Essential Certifications (Must Have):
* Enhanced DBS Certificate (Current & Valid)
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
* CSCS Card (Black or relevant level)
* First Aid at Work (3-day certificate)
