About:
We are currently working with a growing property development contractor based in Bedfordshire, specialising in high-end residential schemes, strategic buy-to-rent developments, light industrial units, and office-to-residential conversions. With a strong pipeline of diverse projects nationwide, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor who shares their passion for quality and innovation.

The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering projects efficiently and profitably. You will be responsible for managing all costs related to construction and development projects, from initial estimates through to final accounts, ensuring value for money while meeting high standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and manage project budgets, cost planning, and cash flow forecasting.

* Conduct cost analysis and value engineering throughout project lifecycle.

* Liaise with project managers, contractors, and consultants across sites nationwide.

* Procure subcontractors and materials, manage contracts and negotiate variations.

* Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and ensure timely payments.

* Monitor risk and maintain strong cost control throughout project delivery.

* Maintain accurate records and project documentation.

What We're Looking For:

* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field (or equivalent experience).

* Minimum 3 years’ experience within the property development or main contracting sectors.

* Experience in residential, industrial, or commercial-to-residential conversions is highly desirable.

* Strong commercial acumen and excellent negotiation skills.

* Office based with a willingness to travel nationwide as required

* Proficient in relevant IT / software

* Full UK driving licence.
