Role Overview
They are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Draughtsperson to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and professional 2D and 3D drawings to support the design and installation teams. You will play a key role in translating project requirements into technical drawings that ensure quality and precision in delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD
* Work from architectural and engineering drawings to develop ventilation system layouts
* Modify existing CAD drawings to reflect design changes or site requirements
* Liaise with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure accurate interpretation of design briefs
* Prepare and manage drawing documentation in line with company standards
* Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
* Support the design team in coordinating services across disciplines
* Maintain organised drawing records for each project
Required Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in a similar CAD Draughtsperson or CAD Technician role (HVAC/MEP experience preferred)
* Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit or other 3D modelling software is a plus
* Strong technical drawing skills and attention to detail
* Understanding of ventilation system design and installation processes
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Strong organisational and time management abilities
Desirable Qualifications
* HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Building Services, Engineering, or a related field
* Experience with BIM coordination
* Knowledge of current UK building regulations
