Quantity Surveyor

Our client in Cardiff, a leading construction sector firm, is recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis.

With exciting projects locally as well as in other areas of Wales, the Southwest and slightly further afield, you will be part of a established team working with high profile clients across the region.

What you'll be doing:

Attend pre-let meetings with Main Contractors to get an overview of projects
Review contract documentation and negotiate terms with clients
Issue monthly valuations for projects to Main Contractors, visiting site to meet with Main Contractors to build/enhance relationships
Price variations on projects
Liaise with Sub-Sub-Contractors working on projects
Ensure payments are received and are made on time
Settling Final Accounts on projects
Request release of retentions from Main Contractors when they are dueWhat we're looking for:

Strong ability to build meaningful relationships with stakeholders
Good verbal, written and mathematical abilities
Excellent communication and customer service
Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications
Problem solving and analytical thinking individual
Experience in the industry is preferable, but Surveying experience is essential

Salary will be circa 50k, potentially more for the right level of experience
Hours are Monday to Friday – 8:30am-5:00pm (early finish on a Friday)
