Architectural Technologist

We are working with an established RIBA-accredited, award-winning architectural practice based just outside Leicester, currently looking to appoint a talented Architectural Technologist to join their growing and collaborative team. With a strong reputation across the Residential, Education, Heritage, and Community sectors, this design-led practice is known for delivering projects with social value, architectural integrity, and technical excellence.

Schemes range from bespoke domestic homes to large-scale education and community facilities, with project values reaching up to £10 million. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of meaningful and challenging developments, primarily within the Residential and Education sectors.

This role is ideal for a highly motivated and technically confident Technologist with strong Revit proficiency and experience across the technical delivery stages. You'll play an active role in project coordination, design development, and client engagement.

Architectural Technologist Job Overview

Prepare accurate and comprehensive technical drawings and specifications for tender and construction
Lead the coordination of design information and contribute to the overall design process
Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and local authorities to support smooth project delivery
Work across a range of Residential and Education schemes, from early technical design to on-site delivery
Use Revit daily as a key design and documentation tool

Architectural Technologist Job Requirements

Based in or within easy reach of Leicester
Degree-qualified in Architectural Technology (or equivalent), with a minimum of 3 years' professional experience
Proficient in Revit; experience using it in practice is essential
Previous experience within the Residential and/or Education sectors
Excellent technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing
Confident working on technical stages and delivering construction packages
Strong team ethic, attention to detail, and ability to manage workload proactively
Full UK driving licence required for site visits and meetings
