About the Company:
I'm working in partnership with a well-established and highly respected construction consultancy, who are looking to appoint a Managing Director (Quantity Surveying) to lead and grow their London office. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to take a strategic leadership role within a thriving, independent firm.
The Role:
As Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading the London office's cost management/quantity surveying function, driving business development, overseeing key client relationships, and leading a high-performing team of surveyors. You'll play a crucial role in the future growth of the business, particularly within the residential and prime residential sectors, though wider sector experience is also valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and grow the London-based quantity surveying team
Win and develop new business, with a strong focus on the residential and high-end residential (prime resi) markets
Oversee major client accounts and ensure excellence in project delivery
Shape the strategic direction of the London office in line with wider company goals
Mentor and develop internal talent and contribute to a collaborative company culture
Represent the business at industry events and within key professional networksRequirements:
Strong background in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management
Proven leadership experience at senior level within a consultancy environment
Established client network and strong business development track record
MRICS or similar professional qualification preferred
Commercially astute, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
