Site Manager

Location: near Cardiff Central-on site parking available

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to provide holiday cover on a new build school project during the summer period for our Tier 1 Main Contractor client. This is a temporary position, ideal for someone confident in independently managing a live site while ensuring progress, safety, and quality are maintained in the absence of the regular manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day site operations and maintain the construction programme

Oversee and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers

*

Ensure health and safety procedures are strictly followed

*

Maintain site records, daily reporting, and communication with the visiting project manager

*

Ensure the site remains secure and compliant with CDM and safeguarding requirements

Requirements:

*

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

*

CSCS Card (Black or Gold)

*

First Aid at Work (3-day certificate)

*

Proven track record managing new build projects, ideally within the education sector, ideally Tier 1

*

Ability to lead effectively, solve problems on-site, and manage timelines with minimal supervision
