Estimator – Interior Fit-Out

Ridgeway & Co are working with a market-leading specialist subcontractor in high-quality interior fit-out and architectural finishes, who are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Estimator to join its commercial team at their Hertfordshire head office.

Involved in delivering prestigious projects across London and the South East, including commercial, healthcare, education, and prime residential developments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, fast-growing contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for tender submissions

*

Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation

*

Liaise with supply chain and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing

*

Assess risk, margin, and programme implications in tender return

*

Collaborate closely with Pre-Construction, Commercial and Operations teams

*

Attend mid and post-tender interviews as required

*

Support value engineering exercises and commercial strategy development

Requirements

*

Proven experience in estimating within interior fit-out, drylining, ceilings, or architectural finishes

*

Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail

*

Proficient in Microsoft Excel; estimating software experience desirable

*

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

*

Excellent communication skills and confident client-facing manner

*

Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction processes
