MEP Lead

Brownlee Cale are seeking an MEP Lead to oversee the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across major civils infrastructure projects in Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the MEP design and delivery process across water sector projects, from feasibility through to commissioning.

*

Oversee multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with civil and process engineers to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.

*

Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and specifications to meet industry and regulatory standards.

*

Interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, acting as the technical point of contact for all MEP-related matters.

*

Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., CDM, WRAS, WIMES).

*

Support procurement activities, including vendor selection and material approvals.

*

Drive innovation and sustainability in system design and operation.

*

Monitor progress, budgets, and resource allocation, reporting to senior management as needed.

Requirements

*

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.

*

Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it is highly desirable.

*

Proven experience leading MEP engineering on complex infrastructure projects

*

Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

*

Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM tools is an advantage.
