About the Role
In this office-based role, you’ll play a key part in keeping their fleet operating at peak performance. You’ll be the first point of contact for coordinating workshop operations, ensuring plant repairs, servicing, and maintenance are handled efficiently and to a high standard.
What You’ll Do
* Act as the go-to person for all workshop service requests, including breakdowns, maintenance, and inspections.
* Provide first-line telephone support and attempt remote resolution where possible.
* Allocate work to fitters, maintain job logs, and ensure accurate records of repairs and stock.
* Manage third-party repair providers including raising purchase orders and invoice approvals.
* Ensure fitters are equipped with the right parts, tools, and information to succeed.
* Schedule service appointments in coordination with customers and internal teams to maximise uptime.
* Collaborate with the hire desk to manage plant availability and replacements.
* Identify and process chargeable damage repairs.
* Maintain up-to-date service, breakdown, and stock records.
What You’ll Bring
* Previous experience in a maintenance or service control environment.
* Solid mechanical knowledge and a logical, problem-solving mindset.
* Excellent organisation, time management, and multitasking skills.
* Confident communicator with a friendly and professional telephone manner.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and an eye for detail.
* A proactive, team-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high standards.
