We’re looking for a sharp, proactive Fit-Out Foreman to join a prestigious hospitality and mixed-use development in the heart of Edinburgh. This is your chance to lead on a landmark project where heritage meets high-spec finishes—and no two days are the same. You'll be front and centre on-site, steering the daily fit-out operations and driving top-tier results across multiple trades.
🔨 Key Responsibilities
Plan and Prioritise: Review daily works and assign tasks to teams based on programme priorities, available labour, and trade-specific skills.
Lead the Craft: Supervise a range of interior fit-out trades including joinery, marble, metalwork, glazing, partitions, ceilings, and specialist finishes.
Read & Relay: Interpret technical drawings and method statements to ensure tasks are delivered with accuracy, quality, and speed.
Enforce Site Standards: Uphold safety protocols and quality benchmarks in line with HSE guidelines and site-specific policies.
Drive Progress: Manage labour, tools, and materials to maximise productivity and reduce downtime.
Monitor & Report: Carry out inspections, address snags proactively, and escalate major issues to site leadership.
Document Everything: Record daily activities, issues, delays, and any corrective actions taken in clear, concise reports.
Develop the Team: Coach and mentor operatives to improve technical output and safety awareness.
Promote Collaboration: Foster strong working relationships across all site personnel and subcontractors.📋 What We're Looking For
5–7 years' construction experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory fit-out role on luxury projects.
Proven experience in high-end interior packages—ideally in hotel, commercial or premium residential developments.
Excellent communication and coordination skills, especially across multidisciplinary trades and subcontractor teams.
Strong working knowledge of technical drawings, finishes, materials, and modern build methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to manage programme targets, quality control and health & safety enforcement.
Comfortable writing daily reports and using basic site software or tablet-based systems.
First Aid certification (desirable).
