Commercial Manager
Our client is looking for a Commercial Manager to lead their commercial team and drive standardisation of best practise approaches across the portfolio of contracts. The role includes leadership across the function and significant working cross functionally with the wider business to drive best practice and continuous development in fast-paced multi-billion construction led capital expenditure.

Key Accountabilities:
Develop and maintain data accuracy and reporting of all in flight and contractual changes
including relative sign off from Finance, Legal, SHE, Street Works, Operations and Commercial
and build contractors.
• Provide briefing guidance and support to all impacted teams and contractors impacted by any contractual change in both understanding, implementation and tracking.
• Advising stakeholders on budgets, risk and opportunity as a result of contractual change.
• Review and document best practice in contract administration and assess and implement required documentation changes with key stakeholders.
Knowledge & Experience:
• Significant Quantity Surveying experience within the Civils arena.
• Experienced in contract management, dispute resolution and negotiation approaches.
• Manage key stakeholders across all business functions including delivery directors, Service Operations, Architecture, Systems and Process, PMO, Finance to
successfully deliver successful change.
• Presentation, report writing and communication to Director level.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large and complex data sets.
• Familiarity with change management processes and practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to prioritise a high-volume workload and ensure deadlines are achieved.
• Ability to work across functions, strong influencing skills and ability to deliver change
• Confident in building relationships with key stakeholders internally & externally from multidisciplinary backgrounds.
• Articulate and comfortable in both oral and written communications.
• Strong problem-solving skills to advise of alternative approaches to changes that could add complexity or cost
