Job Title: Site Manager (Wind Energy Sector)
Location: South Ayrshire & Lanarkshire, Scotland
Contract Type: Freelance/Contract
Duration: Minimum 6 months (likely extension to 12+ months)
Start Date: ASAP
Work Pattern: 3 weeks on / 1 week off (Monday to Saturday), 10-hour days
Pay Rate: Outside IR35- Up to £450 – £550/day inclusive of travel and – Negotiable depending on experience and vehicle access.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Manager to oversee onshore wind farm installation project in South Ayrshire and Lanarkshire. The role requires immediate availability and a flexible, hands-on approach. Candidates must be capable of hitting the ground running and managing site operations effectively from day one.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily site activities, ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance
*
Coordinate subcontractors and site teams to meet project milestones
*
Maintain accurate site records, reports, and communication with project stakeholders
*
Enforce quality standards and ensure compliance with client and industry expectations
*
Liaise with the project management team to resolve on-site issues promptly
*
Travel between South Ayrshire and Lanarkshire as required
Requirements:
*
Valid CSCS Black Card
*
GWO (Global Wind Organisation) certifications
*
Proven experience managing wind energy projects; Nordex turbine experience is a significant advantage
*
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
*
Full UK driving licence
*
4×4 vehicle required
Desirable:
*
Open to experienced Site Supervisors looking to step into a Site Manager role, provided they can quickly adapt and take ownership on-site
*
Familiarity with Scottish terrain and weather conditions
