An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Value Coordinator to join a leading organisation within the construction and infrastructure sector. This role offers the chance to drive real community impact by coordinating, delivering, and reporting on social value activity across a range of regional projects.
About the Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for implementing and managing social value initiatives, from working with local communities and educational institutions to ensuring supply chain engagement and accurate reporting. This role is key to delivering on social value commitments and supporting broader business goals around social responsibility and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and Deliver Social Value Activities
Implement initiatives in line with the internal social value strategy and manage project KPIs effectively.
Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with clients, local authorities, suppliers, and non-profits to ensure social value goals are achieved, including creating local labour agreements and supporting diverse recruitment.
Education and Outreach
Build relationships with schools and colleges, coordinate apprenticeships and placements, and organise site visits and events promoting careers in construction.
Data & Reporting
Track and measure all social value activity using the TOMs methodology and Social Value Portal. Produce accurate, insightful reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
Support Bids and Tenders
Provide input for social value content in bids, including local opportunity research, stakeholder mapping, and drafting case studies and KPI frameworks.
Promote Best Practice
Champion social value internally and externally, support PR and marketing efforts, and contribute to external forums and advisory panels.
What We're Looking For
Experience in social value, community engagement, CSR, or a related field
Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills
Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to work independently
Confident using TOMs methodology and the Social Value Portal
Excellent written and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail
Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
A good understanding of the construction or built environment sector is advantageous
