Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our clients commercial team on a flagship mixed-use residential development in London. This high-profile project includes a combination of residential apartments, retail spaces, and community amenities, delivering long-term value to both investors and residents.

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of large-scale residential or mixed-use developments. This role offers the opportunity to be a key player in a dynamic team delivering one of London’s landmark projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Take full commercial ownership of specific work packages or sections of the project.

Prepare, review and manage cost plans, budgets, and valuations.

*

Manage procurement processes including tendering, analysis, and contract awards.

*

Administer main and sub-contracts including valuations, variations, and final accounts.

*

Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting on a monthly basis.

*

Liaise with project managers, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure commercial alignment.

*

Identify, assess and manage project risks and opportunities.

*

Ensure compliance with company procedures and relevant contractual obligations.

*

Lead and mentor junior surveyors within the team.

Requirements:

*

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent).

*

MRICS or working towards chartership is desirable.

*

Minimum 5–7 years' post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role.

*

Proven track record on large-scale residential and/or mixed-use developments.

*

Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts.

*

Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and communication skills.

*

Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment
