Site Manager
My client is a dynamic and growing principal contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction and fit-out projects across London. They work across a range of sectors including commercial office fit-outs, high-end residential developments, and mixed-use schemes.
Due to a growing pipeline of secured work, they are looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager to join their team. This is a key delivery role, responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring health and safety compliance, quality assurance, and timely delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities

Manage on-site activities across a range of construction and fit-out projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and to budget.

Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and the client team to coordinate works and maintain progress.
*
Lead daily site briefings and toolbox talks, ensuring clear communication of site expectations.
*
Maintain high standards of health and safety and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
*
Monitor quality and workmanship on-site, addressing any issues promptly to maintain project standards.
*
Coordinate materials and logistics to keep site operations efficient and cost-effective.
*
Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and diary entries.
*
Ensure site security, cleanliness, and presentation at all times.
*
Attend and contribute to project meetings and handovers.
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Site Manager working for a main contractor on commercial fit-outs and/or residential schemes.
*
Minimum 5 years’ site management experience.
*
SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold card preferred), and First Aid certification required.
*
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
*
Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
*
Able to manage multiple subcontractors and tight programmes.
*
Experience working in Central London and familiarity with logistical constraints on urban sites.
*
Competent with digital site tools, reporting apps, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable Skills
*
Experience delivering Cat A/Cat B commercial fit-outs.
*
Knowledge of high-spec residential finishes and façade packages.
*
Temporary works knowledge and lifting operations coordination (desirable but not essential).
