Are you an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a background in water, wastewater, or industrial infrastructure?. Predominantly based within the nearest Uisce Éireann office, reviewing inspection and remediation reports and advising on risk of electrical faults, reporting directly to the Senior Asset Planning Engineer within the Asset Maintenance Planning Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of Water and Wastewater asset planning maintenance engineers as they support Uisce Éireann in delivering national infrastructure improvements and address those sites with critical electrical risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and implement best practices for maintenance, inspection, and replacement of LV, MV systems, and generators in line with UÉ strategies.
Collaborate with the Asset Planning Engineer to prioritise and assess critical electrical risks.
Partner with Infrastructure Delivery, Health & Safety, and Operations teams to develop risk mitigation strategies.
Evaluate remediation work from delivery partners and recommend improvements.
Represent the organisation in electrical working groups and stakeholder forums.
Ensure compliance with Irish electrical regulations and standards, including Part 3 of the 2007 Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Regulations.
Support the enhancement of Uisce Éireann's electrical systems strategy.Requirements:

Experience in electrical engineering fault and risk analysis, ideally within the water, wastewater, or industrial sectors.
Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or relevant electrical trade qualification with strong industry experience.
Deep understanding of IEC and EN Electrical Safety Rules and Irish legislation.
Experience working with CompEx equipment in ATEX (explosive) environments is a plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
Proven ability to manage high-risk projects and deliver under pressure.
Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel across UÉ sites nationwide.Why Join This Role?
