Electrical Contracts Manager – Data Centre Expansion – Slough

A major £14M data centre upgrade is now underway in Slough, with significant infrastructure works across civil, structural and M&E disciplines. We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to take full responsibility for the electrical package delivery on this live data centre project, working closely alongside the Senior CSA Contracts Manager and wider site team.

The Project:

The scheme involves extensive upgrades to an existing live data centre, with a strong electrical focus. Key elements include:

* Installation of new LV switchboards and distribution systems.

* HV transformer upgrades and diversion works.

* Generator replacements and integration of new critical plant.

* Close coordination with cooling system upgrades including chillers, CRAC units and associated controls.

* Live environment constraints requiring detailed phasing, shutdown planning and technical coordination.

As Electrical Contracts Manager, you will lead the delivery of the full electrical scope on site, managing subcontractors, driving programme performance, ensuring quality control, and maintaining strict safety standards throughout. You’ll work closely with the client, design teams, commissioning engineers and the wider project management team to deliver this highly coordinated, technically demanding project.

Key Requirements:

* Proven experience delivering complex electrical packages (£3m+) in live, critical environments.

* Background in data centres, hospitals, pharmaceutical or high-spec commercial projects strongly preferred.

* Strong understanding of LV distribution, HV interfaces, generator systems, containment, and BMS integration.

* Commercial awareness with experience of cost control, forecasting and reporting.

* SMSTS, Black CSCS, First Aid.

* HNC / HND / Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.

* Full UK driving licence.

Package:

* Basic salary: £75,000 – £80,000

* £5,500 car allowance

* Up to 10% bonus

* Fully expensed travel

* 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
