Mechanical Contracts Manager – MEP Projects – London

Are you a seasoned Mechanical Contracts Manager looking to drive high-profile MEP projects across the UK? Join a growing and forward-thinking business delivering major building services projects in the commercial and public sectors.

We’re looking for an experienced professional with a background in managing mechanical packages on both traditional and D&B schemes. You'll be responsible for overseeing full lifecycle delivery from planning, procurement, construction, and commissioning, to handover ensuring all works are completed to programme, budget, and the highest quality and safety standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

* Lead the delivery of multiple mechanical projects across commercial and public sector frameworks.

* Oversee pre-construction planning, supply chain management, cost control, and operational execution.

* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, H&S legislation, and QA/QC protocols.

* Manage site-based teams including supervisors, engineers, subcontractors, and direct labour.

* Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery against SLA, KPI, and financial targets.

* Manage procurement of equipment, labour, and sub-contracts in line with company procedures.

* Chair and participate in meetings, technical reviews, and commissioning sessions.

* Track financial performance and ensure profitability aligns with project expectations.

* Drive team development, technical compliance, and HSE excellence across all projects.

What We’re Looking For:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager in an MEP or building services environment.

* Technical qualification in mechanical engineering or relevant trade background.

* Strong knowledge of building services systems and construction delivery.

* Ability to lead multi-disciplinary project teams and manage supply chain performance.

* Excellent communication, commercial acumen, and leadership skills.

* Experience with public sector frameworks and live/occupied sites highly desirable.

* Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Microsoft Project or Asta preferred.

* SMSTS, First Aid, and valid UK driving licence required.
