Principal Electrical Design Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Design Engineer to lead the development and coordination of low voltage (LV) electrical designs for a major infrastructure project. This leadership role involves managing technical delivery, guiding junior engineers, and ensuring high-quality, compliant design outputs.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and technical delivery of LV electrical distribution and CMS across all project stages.

Oversee the production of design documentation including layouts, schematics, and schedules.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure fully integrated solutions.

Ensure compliance with BS7671, relevant codes, and project-specific requirements.

Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance within the electrical design team.

Support design reviews, risk assessments, and client/contractor engagement as needed
