Credit Controller

We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a leading business services provider in Chelmsford in this newly created position. This role requires a focus on managing client accounts effectively while ensuring timely collections and accurate financial record-keeping.

Description

Monitor and manage client credit accounts to ensure timely payments.
Chase overdue invoices via phone, email, and written correspondence.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Work closely with the Accounting & Finance team to review credit limits.
Prepare reports on outstanding debts and credit performance for management review.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit control activities.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment issues.
Support the implementation of improved credit control processes and systems.Profile

A successful Credit Controller should have:

Proven experience in credit control or a related role within the Accounting & Finance department.
Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
