Managing Quantity Surveyor

As they continue to expand, they are looking for a talented Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our Infrastructure team and contribute to their high-profile energy projects.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our esteemed Infrastructure team, primarily working on high-profile energy projects. This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of ground-breaking developments within the power and energy sectors. You will be based in either the south eastl, with the flexibility of hybrid working. Weekly site visits will be required to ensure the smooth progression and success of their projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage all aspects of the quantity surveying function for high-profile energy projects.

* Prepare and oversee the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.

* Conduct risk and value management and cost control.

* Administer NEC contracts, ensuring compliance and effective management throughout the project lifecycle.

* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.

* Perform weekly site visits to assess project progress and address any issues.

* Provide expert advice on contract management and dispute resolution.

* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

About You:

* Proven experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the power and energy sectors.

* In-depth knowledge and experience with NEC contracts.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

* Willingness to travel to project sites in Birmingham and London once a month.

* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

* Professional membership with RICS or similar is desirable.
