We are seeking a Data Centre Construction Director to oversee the effective management of data centre construction projects for a large UK engineering contractor.
Suitable candidates will have expertise in construction, mechanical and electrical fit-out projects, NEC contracts and data centre design and build. We require strong leadership capabilities and project management to ensure the successful delivery of data centre build projects.

Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee the design, construction, and fit-out of data centre projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and contract requirements.
– Lead multidisciplinary teams fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
– Develop and implement strategic plans for data centre operations and expansions.
– Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to deliver projects on time and within budget.
– Establish and maintain commercial relationships with vendors, subcontractors and stakeholders.
– Monitor industry trends and advancements to integrate best practices into operations and design.

Qualifications and Skills:
– Proven experience in data centre construction, and mechanical/electrical project fit-outs.
– In-depth knowledge of NEC contracts and their application in data centre projects.
– Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
– Excellent team management and leadership skills.
– Proficient in budgeting and financial management.
– Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
