Electrical Project Manager – Leisure ( Must have Spa/Leisure experience)
Location: Fulham, London
Start Date: June 2025
Contract Type: Fixed-term (9 months)
Rate: £400 per day
About the Role
Lead the electrical installation and management for a new or refurbished leisure facility—including gyms, pools, wellness areas, and associated plant rooms. You’ll run the project from design and procurement, through installation and commissioning, ensuring compliance, quality, and completion within time and budget.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee full electrical project lifecycle: design liaison, procurement, installation, testing & commissioning
* Manage electricians, subcontractors, and interface with mechanical teams for coordinated M&E delivery
* Ensure compliance with BS 7671, building regs, and leisure‑specific safety standards
* Prepare and manage project programmes, budgets, and resource deployment
* Conduct site inspections, testing, risk assessments, snagging, and certification handover
* Maintain project documentation: progress reports, drawings, change logs, O&M manuals
* Liaise with stakeholders: architects, leisure operators, clients, and consultants (e.g. M&E consultants, structural engineers)
* Lead health & safety and quality assurance for electrical systems
Requirements
* 5+ years as an Electrical Project Manager, especially in leisure, fitness, hospitality or similar environments
* NVQ Level 3 (or City & Guilds), HNC/HND or degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or Project Management
* Valid ECS card and SMSTS (or SSSTS) certification
* Expert knowledge of BS 7671 and electrical systems in leisure facilities (e.g., high-current circuits, pool area installations)
* Proven ability in budget control, scheduling, team leadership, coordination with MEP disciplines
* Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools (e.g., MS Project)
* Full UK driving licence
