Day Shift Maintenance Technician (4 on 4 Off Days)

💷 Salary: £42,000 – £43,000 (DOE) + Overtime + Benefits

About the Role:

We're recruiting a reliable and multi-skilled Shift Maintenance Technician to join an established engineering team on a prestigious commercial estate in London. This is a static role involving the delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of building services, covering electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.

You will be working within a high-profile, client-facing environment, maintaining critical and non-critical systems, and supporting a safe and compliant workplace for occupants and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake PPM tasks across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical building systems.

Respond quickly and efficiently to reactive maintenance tasks and fault calls.

Conduct inspections, identify defects, and carry out repairs to ensure minimal disruption to site operations.

Service and maintain AHUs, FCUs, pumps, valves, pipework, and ventilation systems.

Perform maintenance on chilled water and heating systems, including pressurisation units and expansion vessels.

Support with BMS checks and basic adjustments to maintain environmental conditions.

Carry out basic electrical fault-finding and repairs on lighting, small power, and distribution systems.

Assist in testing emergency lighting, fire alarms, and backup power systems as part of routine checks.

Replace ballasts, lamps, switches, sockets, and address minor electrical defects safely.

Attend plant rooms, risers, roof areas, and occupied space as needed.

Monitor asset conditions and report issues or suggest improvements.

Maintain accurate records via CAFM system and contribute to compliance logs.

Work as part of a multi-skilled engineering shift team, supporting colleagues across disciplines.

Ensure clear and detailed shift handovers are carried out, logging all activities and outstanding issues.

Assist with isolations, permit-to-work processes, and contractor supervision when required.

Adhere to H&S standards and safe systems of work at all times.

Ensure statutory compliance with regulations are met

Maintain high housekeeping standards in plant areas and workspaces.
