Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering

Leading civil engineering main contractor has a requirement for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their established team.

This role will see you work on a civil engineering framework based in Wales and the South West so candidates must be happy to travel to site when needed.

If you have experience of leading small teams, have worked on civil engineering projects and would enjoy working for a rapidly growing company, this role would be ideal for you!

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee projects' financial performance to ensure profit targets and savings are maximised
Adhere to contractual timescales and administer change control appropriately
Identify and manage risks and opportunities effectively
Deliver a compliant procurement process in line with established procedures
Manage commercial queries and provide advice on legal matters, including risks and dispute resolution
Conduct internal and external audits as required
Manage the Supply Chain effectively, ensuring compliance and building trusted partnerships
Monitor project progress and report on performance, conducting site visits as necessary

Job Requirements:

Practical experience in a quantity surveying role in a civil engineering environment, working for a main contractor.
NEC Contracts experience is essential.
Experience working on rail renewal, enhancement or AFA schemes is an advantage.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS), you will also have worked on multiple and large projects simultaneously, be able to work independently and manage a small team.
