Generator Technical Support
Our client based in Newcastle has a brand new, fantastic opportunity to join their thriving Generator team. We are looking for a candidate who has a strong technical background with generators, along with the skills to be able to control and organise the hire out process from start to finish; liaising with suppliers, customers, depots in order to control and manage the end to end hire out task. 37.5 hours per week, opportunity for hybrid working after probation.
About the role:
Hire Management:
* Act as a consultative expert to provide guidance when determining the appropriate generator for the desired application.
* Determine appropriate external supplier for each hire to ensure suitability for customer requirements, whilst meeting the target margins.
* Process all hire requests accurately and efficiently, ensuring a seamless experience for the customer.
Product Management:
* Monitor the performance of all generators on customer sites, proactively identifying and highlighting underperformance to suppliers.
* Liaise with the Customer Service Delivery Managers/General Managers to coordinate the timely and efficient delivery or exchange of all generators to ensure seamless customer service.
* Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance overall system efficiency in collaboration with Renewable Power Technical Support Coordinators.
Technical Support:
* Provide technical expertise and support to on-site teams when diagnosing potential issues with generator/BSU setups.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational continuity.
* Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting generator-related issues, providing timely and effective solutions, including directing supplier response for swift resolution.
* Collaborate with other members of the technical support teams and external suppliers to resolve complex technical challenges and ensure optimal functionality.
