Estimating Manager

As an estimator, you will work both individually and as part of a team, taking a tender from initial enquiry to final submittal. You will apply a high level of consideration and care to provide a professional standard of work. You will also have the opportunity to learn from our internal experts and attend various training courses to further expand your skills.

Key Responsibilities/Tasks:

1. Preparing tenders, estimates and cost plans all while meeting the clients timeframes

2. Arrange technical submittals whilst looking at alternatives or VE options

3. Understanding architect drawings/specifications

4. Preparation of costs sheets, including quantity take-offs, and the completion of project BOQ

5. Final submission of the project estimate and supporting documentation

6. Develop relationships with suppliers in order to assist with cost requirements.

7. Identifying value engineering opportunities in order to keep quotes competitive.

8. Managing your time in such a way that you meet agreed deadlines.

9. Communicating with clients on tender status.

10. The responsibility of presenting project handover meetings.

11. Maintain accurate information regarding suppliers, sub-contractors & clients.

12. Working closely with the design team to navigate any flaws/improvements and assist with potential solutions.

13. Regular communication with company quantity surveyors to ensure the project remains efficient and cost effective.

14. Work alongside the Design Director & Procurement Team to hand over the tender
