Intermediate Quantity surveyor

We are looking for an experienced quantity surveyor to join my client’s team, you must have experience in all aspects of building, from substructure to superstructure and finishes. Approximately 50% of our projects are drive thrus, which involve groundworks, frames, cladding etc..

My client is a nationwide construction main contractor operating across the UK, with our head office being in Leeds. We work on a variety of contracts in various sectors. With schemes ranging in value from £0.5m – £15m.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be supported by our full team committed to your development and progression. Ultimately you will be responsible for managing 2-3 projects at a time dependant on project size. You will undertake all commercial and contractual requirements, ensuring sound financial performance, preparation of accurate and detailed monthly cost reports. You will have a good working knowledge and application of Main and sub-contract accounts.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Main contract Final Account settlement

* Cost forecasting

* Legal and contractual compliance

* Negotiation of main and subcontract costs

* Subcontract variation and change management

* Subcontract final account settlement

* Holding pre-let meetings and produce minutes

* CVR reporting
