Building Services Manager
Salter Grange is now recruiting a Building Services Manager to join a leading UK construction company renowned for delivering high-quality, sustainable projects across commercial, residential, and public sectors. We are seeking a talented Building Services Manager to provide mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) expertise, ensuring our bids are technically robust, competitive, and aligned with client expectations.
As a Building Services Manager in the BID Department, you will leverage your MEP knowledge to support the development of winning tender submissions. You will collaborate with bid managers, estimators, and technical teams to create innovative, cost-effective MEP solutions that enhance our proposals. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker with a passion for securing landmark projects through technical excellence.
Building Services Manager Responsibilities
* Provide specialist MEP input for bid proposals, including system designs, specifications, and cost estimates, ensuring technical accuracy and feasibility.
* Review Invitation to Tender (ITT) documents to identify MEP requirements, risks, and opportunities, contributing to robust bid strategies.
* Work with estimators to develop competitive MEP cost plans, incorporating subcontractor quotations and efficient delivery solutions.
* Ensure bid proposals comply with UK building regulations, industry standards, and sustainability objectives, such as net-zero carbon and energy efficiency.
* Identify and address MEP-related risks in tender submissions, enhancing proposal reliability and client confidence.
* Propose creative MEP solutions to differentiate bids, showcasing value and technical expertise.
* Support the preparation of high-quality client pricing documents and technical submissions, ensuring clarity and compliance with tender requirements.
Building Services Manager Requirements:
* Proven MEP experience in construction management (MEP focus), preferably in bid processes.
* Expertise in MEP systems design, installation, and maintenance.
* Qualification: HNC/HND, NVQ, or degree in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
* Strong tender analysis and cost planning skills.
