Associate Project Manager

An established multidisciplinary consultancy based in South London is seeking an experienced Associate Project Manager to join its National Programmes Team. This is a key opportunity for an Associate Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-profile schemes across the public sector, including work with blue light clients and government departments.

The successful Associate Project Manager will be joining a dynamic and collaborative project management team, delivering services from feasibility through to post-handover. As an Associate Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the consultancy's offering across major frameworks and public sector projects, helping to drive repeat business and long-term client relationships.

The Associate Project Manager's role

The Associate Project Manager will be responsible for managing a wide range of construction projects, ensuring value for money and compliance with key performance and quality standards. The role involves programme and report preparation, contract administration (primarily under NEC and JCT), and chairing meetings with clients and stakeholders.

The Associate Project Manager will also support business development, contributing to fee proposals, participating in client interviews, and identifying opportunities for future commissions. Experience working with public sector frameworks and multidisciplinary teams will be key to success in this role.

The Associate Project Manager

To be considered for the Associate Project Manager position, you will ideally have:

A degree in Construction Project Management or a related built environment discipline

Chartered status (MRICS or similar), or working towards it

Experience delivering public sector construction projects

Strong working knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract

Confident communication and client-facing abilities

NEC Accredited Project Manager status is desirable (training support available)
