ASPRO Civil Project Engineer – Rail (Client Side)
Position: Asset Protection Engineer – Civils
Rate: £375 Inside IR35
Location: Manchester
Duration: 12 months+
Start date: ASAP
Working Arrangements: 3 days in the Office, 2 days Home
People Group is recruiting a Civil ASPRO Engineer from a Network Rail background to work for a Leading Rail Consultancy.
Responsibilities:
Undertake reviews of design and construction activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
Conduct on-site engineering verifications (where required and directed by the Senior Asset Protection Engineer).
Lead the discipline engineering consultation between the project team, client/customer, designer/contractor, and the applicable Route Engineers (Discipline) throughout the design development stages and construction.
Respond via NR/L2/RSE/02009/F0044 DRN process with acceptance or rejection of submissions within 20 working days of receipt. Where a submission fails/rejected (Cat0/3), the areas identified are clearly communicated to the client/designer. To be re-reviewed when the design submission is returned with DRN closed out.
Input/guidance into NR/L2/CIV/191/05 Managing the risk from Mining in design and construction.
Provide attendance at relevant project meetings and workshops, including progress meetings, CRE meetings, and IDC/IDRs.
Technical input at enquiry/initial meetings with the customer when a specialist discipline requirement is required.
Review and provide comments on initial design proposals at initial meetings with the customer/client.
To be successful in this position, we’re looking for someone who has:
Shall preferably be a Chartered Engineer (preferably MICE), and have a relevant engineering degree (BSc/BEng or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of general relevant experience.
Worked client-side for Network Rail within the rail sector.
Has experience working on an Asset Protection project as a Project Engineer
