MEICA Package Manager
Key Responsibilities
Project delivery
Take full ownership of the MEICA package from concept and design through to commissioning, handover, and defect rectification.
Develop and manage detailed MEICA project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Oversee the procurement and management of MEICA sub-contractors and suppliers, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and performance targets.
Monitor and report on MEICA package progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues to ensure successful delivery.
Ensure all MEICA works are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Lead and participate in design reviews, ensuring constructability and operability of MEICA installations.
Manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEICA plant and equipment.
Oversee the production and review of all MEICA documentation, including FDS, HDS, O&M manuals, and test certificates.Technical Expertise
Provide technical guidance and expertise on MEICA aspects throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes of practice, and Severn Trent Water's technical specifications (e.g., WIMES).
Review and approve MEICA designs, drawings, and specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex MEICA technical issues.Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of contact for all MEICA-related matters with Severn Trent Water, sub-contractors, and internal project teams.
Foster strong working relationships with all project stakeholders.
Effectively communicate project progress, risks, and issues to all relevant parties.
Manage and resolve any contractual disputes or claims related to the MEICA package.Commercial Management
Manage the MEICA package budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring cost control.
Oversee variations and change control processes for the MEICA scope.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for the MEICA package.Health, Safety and Envirnment
Champion a strong safety culture throughout all MEICA activities.
Ensure all MEICA works comply with relevant HSE legislation and company policies.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance.Skills and Experience
Proven experience as a MEICA Package Manager or similar senior role on water or wastewater treatment projects.
Extensive knowledge of MEICA systems and technologies used in the water industry.
Demonstrable experience managing projects
Strong understanding of contract management
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Proficient in project management software
Full UK Driving License.Qualifications
Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
Professional Chartership
Experience working on Severn Trent Water projects
IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
