Quantity Surveyor

Kenton Black are recruiting for a permanent Quantity Surveyor position in East Scotland.

Our client is delivering a flagship £20m new build project in the education sector and is seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their team. With over 2 years project duration ahead and future work targeted in healthcare and higher education across the East, this opportunity offers long-term stability and progression for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

– Lead and manage commercial activities on a major new build education project
– Prepare and review accurate cost plans, procurement packages, and contract documentation
– Oversee subcontractor engagement, payments, and valuations
– Monitor project finances and provide timely cost reporting
– Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure value and efficiency

What You Bring:

– Proven experience in quantity surveying on large-scale construction projects
– Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and cost management processes
– Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
– Degree/HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification
– A results-driven mindset with a commitment to quality delivery
