Quantity Surveyor

Apex Reosurces are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work with a construction client who specialises in High End/Super Prime residential refurb and new builds.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management:

Preparing cost plans, managing budgets, and controlling expenses throughout the project lifecycle.

*

Procurement:

Developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing sub-contractor packages, and negotiating contracts.

*

Contract Administration:

Overseeing contract documentation, variations, and payments to ensure compliance and manage risk.

*

Financial Reporting:

Preparing regular financial reports, including cost reports and value reconciliations, to track project performance.

*

Client Liaison:

Communicating with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders on project progress and financial matters.

*

Risk Management:

Identifying and mitigating potential financial risks associated with the project.

*

Quality Assurance:

Ensuring all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental policies.

Required Skills and Experience:

Experience:

Proven experience in quantity surveying, particularly in high-end or super prime residential projects.

*

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of construction methods, contracts, and procurement processes.

Commercial Acumen:

Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and identify potential savings.

*

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and stakeholder engagement.

*

Organization:

Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

*

Professionalism:

Ability to work with discretion and maintain a high standard of professionalism when dealing with high-value clients.

*

MRICS (or equivalent):

Ideally, candidates should be chartered (MRICS) or working towards chartership
