Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

This Leeds based Senior Mechanical Design Engineer post will see you joining a large design consultancy in their building services team. As well as UK based works, you'll be engaged on remarkable buildings throughout the world.

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you'll be managing small to medium-sized projects, supporting colleagues, and ensuring project deliverables are met on time and within budget.

The Key Responsibilities are:

Manage and deliver projects in healthcare, commercial and other non-domestic sectors, overseeing finances and resources.
Provide technical input and mentoring junior staff.
Engage in interdisciplinary reviews and quality control of design calculations and drawings.What They're Looking For:

Proven track record in mechanical building services design.
Highly motivated with a passion for success and development.
Experience as at Engineer or Senior Engineer level with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., CIBSE).
Proficiency in BIM software and low carbon systems design.
Experience with IES or other calculation packages.
Preferably experienced in designing and delivering healthcare facilities, familiar with HTM/HBN standards.Qualifications:

Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
Chartered status or working towards accreditation.
Postgraduate experience in the field; this is not an entry level position.
You'll need to have a solid background as a Mechanical building services design engineer and be fluent with UK standards and regs due to the level that you will be working at within the team.
