With a strong order book and an excellent reputation in the industry, we’re looking to expand our team with an experienced and motivated Groundworks General Foreman.
The Role:
We are seeking a hands-on, proactive General Foreman to lead and supervise groundworks teams on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise all aspects of groundworks including drainage, foundations, roads, and paving
*
Coordinate and manage site teams and subcontractors
*
Ensure health & safety regulations are followed at all times
*
Monitor project progress and report to Site/Project Manager
*
Liaise with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders
*
Maintain accurate site records and daily diaries
*
Order materials and manage plant on-site
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Foreman in groundworks/civil engineering
*
Strong understanding of setting out, drainage, foundations, and general groundwork operations
*
Valid CSCS card (Gold or above preferred)
*
SSSTS or SMSTS certification
*
First Aid at Work qualification
*
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
*
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
*
Full UK driving license
