CAD Technician Permanent Full-Time

Salary – Circa £55,000 DOE
Location – Hybrid, London

We're looking for a motivated and detail-focused CAD Technician with a strong background in 2D and 3D design within construction or engineering environments. You'll bring proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (or similar software), a collaborative mindset, and the confidence to contribute across multiple live projects.

Responsibilities, but are not limited to

Producing high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings, from concept sketches to detailed technical designs, in line with client specifications and brand standards
Supporting multiple live projects at various design stages, ensuring timely delivery to meet client KPIs
Collaborating with Project Managers, Designers, and Engineers to develop accurate, buildable design solutions
Maintaining and updating drawing records and ensuring documentation complies with industry, client, and health and safety standards
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to understand technical requirements and provide CAD support
Managing multiple deadlines and priorities effectively, demonstrating strong organisational skills
Showing a keen interest in sustainable design and emerging technologies within the energy and retail sectors (e.g. EV, hydrogen, energy efficiency)
Supporting planning submissions and contributing to design-related requirements during pre-construction phases
Attending site visits as required to gather information, verify measurements, or support deliveryExperiences required

Proven CAD design and drafting experience within the construction, civil engineering, or commercial sectors
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, or comparable software such as BricsCAD, DraftSight, ZWCAD, Archicad, Vectorworks, or Allplan Architecture
A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (e.g. BTEC, HNC/HND, or Degree)
Strong knowledge of technical drawings, design principles, and construction processes
Willingness to travel to project sites across the UK as needed (excluding Northern Ireland)
A full, valid UK driving licencePackage
