Job Description
I am working with a business who are built up around a team of industry heavyweights who have operated in the on/offshore wind sector for over 20 years. They utilize specialist equipment and control rooms to monitor a mix of high voltage assets across the UK and offshore and in turn they react, manage and resolve any faults which may occur.
Role
They are looking for a Surveillance Engineer to work nights in their control room, based in Blyth.
Some of the key responsibilities are as follows:
* Monitor Systems of HV assets across the UK and Offshore (up to 5 sites at one time)
* If a fault arises then an automated alarm will go off. In that event the Surveillance Engineer will contact the appointed Control Engineer. From there the Control Engineer will find the fault, isolate, then resolve it.
Must be prepared to work nights and ideally come with an electrical background. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential for this post holder to be IT literate and be able to pick up new software packages with ease.
The business is prepared to train and develop this post holder into a controls engineer over time so the opportunity itself comes with and excellent progression route for the right individual
