A client of mine, a leading Building Consultancy known for its exceptional project delivery and commitment to technical excellence, is looking to speak with a talented Building Surveyor up to Senior level to join their London office. This is a pivotal opportunity for a driven and commercially minded individual ready to take the lead on a varied portfolio spanning heritage refurbishments, modern new builds, and strategic advisory services.

The Building Surveyor's Role

You'll be responsible for leading and delivering building surveying commissions, supporting clients across a full suite of services. These include condition and measured surveys, defect analysis, technical due diligence, dilapidations, party wall matters, and project management from inception to completion.

The role demands a high level of autonomy, client interaction, and the ability to provide technical direction on complex schemes. You'll also work closely with Directors and support more junior colleagues, helping shape the next generation of Surveyors.

The Successful Building Surveyor Will Have

Qualifications & Professional Membership:

MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)

Knowledge & Key Skills:

Demonstrable post-qualification experience in a Building Surveying role
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building pathology, and procurement routes
Ability to act as Contract Administrator and Employer's Agent
Clear understanding of legislation affecting the built environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem-solving ability and commercial awareness
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit teamIn Return?

£60,000 – £75,000 (depending on experience)
