With continued growth across the East of England, they are now seeking a skilled Section or Senior Engineer to join a long-term programme of infrastructure and road improvement projects in Suffolk.

🏗️ Projects You'll Be Involved In:

You will be involved in the delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary civils projects such as:

New link roads and major highway realignments

*

Drainage and deep excavation

*

Earthworks and pavement construction

*

Roundabouts, junction improvements, and road widening

*

Public sector-funded regeneration and infrastructure upgrades

🔧 Role Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll be a key part of the site engineering team. Responsibilities include:

*

Setting Out: Ensuring precise delivery using GPS, total stations, and traditional methods

*

Quality Assurance: Checking plans, materials, and works to ensure compliance

*

Coordination: Supervising junior engineers and subcontractors on site

*

Reporting: Supporting Site Agents and Project Managers with records, diaries, and progress updates

*

HSE Compliance: Promoting high standards of health and safety across site activities

*

Client Interaction: Supporting project delivery and maintaining strong working relationships with client teams

✅ Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are looking for an engineer who takes pride in quality, enjoys problem-solving on site, and can work confidently in a team environment.

Essential:

*

HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

*

Strong experience in highways, roads, or general civil engineering schemes

*

Demonstrated setting out ability (GPS/Total Station)

*

CSCS card

Desirable:

*

SSSTS or SMSTS

*

Familiarity with NEC contracts

*

Strong grasp of AutoCAD and QA documentation

*

Experience working with local authorities or on public infrastructure projects
