Senior Quantity Surveyor – Progression to Commercial Manager in 12-18 Months

Our client is a leading MEP contractor entering an exciting period of growth. They're looking for a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor who is ready to take their career to the next level – with a structured plan to progress into a Commercial Manager role within 12-18 months.

You'll take a key commercial lead on prestigious MEP packages across a range of flagship projects. Backed by a highly experienced leadership team and a strong order book, this is a fantastic opportunity to build on your commercial expertise and shape the commercial future of the business.

Key Duties

Manage all commercial aspects of MEP projects from tender to final account.
Prepare and agree valuations, variations, and final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
Implement cost control processes, financial reporting, and risk management strategies.
Liaise closely with project teams to ensure commercial delivery is on track and margins protected.
Support the Commercial Manager with mentoring junior team members and driving commercial best practices.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years' commercial experience within construction or MEP contracting.
Exposure to working under JCT and/or NEC contracts.
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
