Site Engineer

Are you an experienced and highly skilled Freelance Site Engineer looking for your next challenging project? We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team on a prestigious £60 million new rail station build. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of a landmark infrastructure project from the ground up.

The Project: This significant scheme involves the complete construction of a brand-new train station, encompassing all associated civil engineering works, platform installations, and new build structures. It's a complex and rewarding project that will add a vital new hub to the rail network.

The Role: As a Freelance Site Engineer, you will be instrumental in the successful delivery of key aspects of the project. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Precise Setting Out: Performing accurate and efficient setting out for all elements of the new station build, including foundations, steelwork, concrete structures, and rail infrastructure.

Quality Assurance: Ensuring all works comply with design specifications, quality standards, and relevant regulations.

Platform Installations: Overseeing and assisting with the setting out and installation of new station platforms, ensuring correct levels, alignment, and drainage.

Site Supervision: Working closely with the construction team, subcontractors, and other engineers to maintain progress and resolve technical issues.

Documentation: Maintaining accurate site records, diaries, and as-built drawings.

Health & Safety: Promoting and adhering to the highest standards of health and safety on site.

About You:

Proven experience as a Site Engineer on significant civil engineering or rail infrastructure projects, ideally with new build station experience.

Expertise in various setting out techniques and equipment (total stations, GPS, etc.).

Strong understanding of construction methodologies and processes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proactive, problem-solving approach with meticulous attention to detail.

Relevant qualifications (e.g., HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent).

Valid CSCS card and relevant rail accreditations (e.g., PTS) are highly desirable.
